The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) held on May 14 a press meeting for announcing the declaration of the UN Day of Vesak 2019.
The event taking place in Tam Chuc pagoda’s press center was chaired by Most Venerable Vice President of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS’s Information and Communications Committee Thích Gia Quang and attended by over 100 journalists reporting the UN Vesak Day 2019..
During the press meeting, Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang informed the press results of the UN Vesak Day 2019 and the Ha Nam declaration, highlighting the commitment to the implementation of sustainable development goals of the United Nations and the UN Vesak themes.
The Most Venerable thanked foreign and domestic reporters for covering the UN Vesak celebration 2019.
The 16th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations has successfully taken place in Tam Chuc Convention Centre and has left good impressions on participating delegates.
As reported, over 118 thousand people have attended the celebrations of UN Vesak 2019.
