The Public Security in Ha Nam province’s Kim Bang district has heightened campaigns for ensuring security and traffic safety, ahead of the UN Day of Vesak 2019.
During the UN Vesak Day 2019, the police force of Kim Bang district will set up 17 checkpoints in bypasses of Phu Ly, QL21, QL38 to clear traffic jams at places around the venue for the grand celebration.
The district police force will also organize regular patrols in streets for ensuring public order and security in adjacent areas.
The UN Vesak Day 2019 themed “Buddhist approach to global leadership and shared responsibilities for sustainable societies” will be held from May 12-15. The grand ceremony expected to attract 1,500 delegates who are Buddhist dignitaries and leaders from over 100 countries and territories.
This will be the third time the UN Day of Vesak to be held in Vietnam, after UN Buddhist events held in Hanoi in 2008 and Ninh Binh in 2014.
