Vietnam Buddhist Association in the Czech Republic holds the Buddhist Parents Day festival

According to Vietnam News Agency correspondent in the Czech Republic, on August 17th, at Sapa Trade Center in Prague, Vietnam Buddhist Association at Czech Republic solemnly held a Buddhist Parents Day ceremony with the participation of Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm, Vice Chairman of Executive Council of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Members of the Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children Affairs under the Vietnam National Assembly.

Attending the ceremony were Mrs. Bùi Thị Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Central Vietnam Fatherland Front; representatives from Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mrs. Hoàng Thuỳ Dương, Vietnam’s Counsellor in Czech Republic; Mr. Hoàng Đình Thắng, Chairman of Vietnam Association in the Czech Republic... and hundreds of Buddhists in the locality.

The Buddhist Parents Day ceremony 2014 in Prague also attracted the participation of many people who haven’t followed Buddhism or understood the meaning of the Buddhist Parents Day festival.
