According to the Thai News Agency, from October 6th to November 8th, Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej presented Kathina robes to monks from 9 pagodas of ASEAN members states and other South Asia countries with the aim to strengthen alliance relationship between Buddhist countries.
According to high-ranking officials, the offering of royal Kathina along with cultural activities made positive contributions to enhance relations between Thailand and other countries. Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej presented Kathina robes during the offering Kathina robes festival to five ASEAN members including Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, and two South Asia countries of Sri Lanka and Nepal./.
