On January 14, 2014, the Princess of Thailand came to Hue Nghiem pagoda (District 2, Ho Chi Minh City) to visit Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council, Head of the Executive Board of the Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City, Abbot of Hue Nghiem pagoda.
After rituals to pay tribute to the Buddha in the main hall, the Princess inquired Most Venerable Thích Trí Quảng’s health and make sighseeing at the pagoda. She was introduced about the formation and development of the pagoda and the meaning of its statues.
Joining the delegation were director Vinodh Seneviratne and actor Gagan Malik who took the part of the Buddha in the movie “the Buddha’s life”. On this occasion, the Most Venerable congratulated them on the accomplishment of the film and wished it will be a success.
The film was screened for the second time at Pho Quang pagoda (Tan Binh district) in the evening of January 14, 2014. Its first screen of the film was introduced free of charge at Pho Quang pagoda on October 7, 2013.
