Sri Lankan President hands over Buddhist relics to temples in US and Korea

Sri Lanka has donated sacred Buddha relics to be placed in temples in the United States and Korea for the Buddhists in those countries to worship.

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa handed over the caskets of sacred Buddha relics to the delegations of the Missouri Buddhist Center in the US and Sokvansa Buddhist Center in South Korea on July 28th, 2014 at the Temple Trees.

The religious event has been organized under the patronage of Chief Incumbent of Missouri Buddhist Center Venerable Thavala Bodhiseeha Thero and Chief incumbent of Sokvansa Buddhist Center Venerable Dombagahavela Damitha Thero.
