Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev acknowledges contributions of Buddhism to strengthen dialogue between communities

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the Patriarch of the Traditional Buddhist Sangha of Russia Khambo Lama Damba Ayusheeva on occasion of 250th founding anniversary of the Russian Pandito Khambo-lam Institute on September 27th, 2014.

According to Mr. Medvedev, the establishment of the Pandito Khambo-lam Institute is a historical event and foundation for Buddhist practices in East Siberia and Baikal region, promoting the development of Buddhist education and culture and traditional Eastern medicines.

"I firmly believe that the Russian Buddhists will make further contributions to strengthen inter-religious dialogue and mutual understanding and build good neighborly relations between communities in our multi-ethnic country” Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev wrote in the congratulatory message.

The Russian Prime Minister also extended best wishes to the Traditional Buddhist Sangha of Russia Khambo Lama Damba Ayusheeva, monks and Buddhist followers.
