Prime Minister Hun Sen has asked all pagodas across the Kingdom to ring the bells and beat the drums five times a day to spread COVID-19 awareness in the fight against the spread of the February 20 community event.
His order comes through a directive issued this evening by Minister of Cults and Religion Chhit Sokhon and sent to Phnom Penh and all provincial departments of Cults and Religion.
According to the directive, ringing the bells and beating the drums at the pagodas take place at 5 am, 11 am, 2 pm, 5 pm and 8 pm.
