OIC Secretary General Strongly Condemns Attack in Kabul

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Daesh terrorist group in the Afghan capital Kabul on 22nd April 2018 that killed at least 30 people and injured a dozen others.  

The Secretary General condemned in the strongest terms the series of terrorist attacks that has gripped Afghanistan in the past few weeks.

The Secretary General further stated that the perpetrators and supporters of these shocking crimes have definitely no place among Muslims. While reiterating the OIC’s support to Afghanistan, he commended the resilience, resolve and perseverance of the Afghan nation. Dr. Al-Othaimeen conveyed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the Government and people of Afghanistan and wished for speedy recovery of the wounded.

The Secretary General expressed his firm rejection of these terrorist acts, which violate the sanctity of human life and reiterated the principled position of the OIC against all forms of terrorism and extremism.
