A ceremony to inaugurate the temple worshipping Mother Goddess was solemnly held on May 14 in Ha Noi-Moscow trade Centre (Incentra) in the Russian capital.
The worship of the Mother Goddesses is part of traditional practices of folk beliefs in Vietnam with a long history. The Mother Goddess worshipping teaches people to promote human values including respect and gratitude to the parents, ancestors, predecessors and national heroes who have rendered meritorious service to the country
In order to meet the spiritual need of Vietnamese overseas in Russia, the Interim Executive Board of Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Russia and Management Board of Moscow Buddhist Sanctuary allocated 120m2 to build the Mother Goddess worshipping temple.
Thus, along with the One Pillar Pagoda and Moscow Buddhist Sanctuary, the worshipping place of Mother Goddess will contribute to serve the spiritual need of Vietnamese community in Russia.
