Memorial held for Vietnamese fallen soldiers in Paris

04/09/2014

A memorial service to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in defending Vietnam’s land and sea borders was held at Khuong Viet Pagoda on the outskirts of Paris on April 5.

The event attracted a large number of Overseas Vietnamese (OVs) and Buddhist followers living in France, aiming to promote solidarity amongst Vietnamese people both at home and abroad.

The ceremony provides Buddhist followers and OVs in France the opportunity to pay their respects to national heroes and educate the young generations about the nation’s traditions of patriotism and solidarity.
