Buddhist Art Exhibition in Korea

The standing painting was made by paper from Joseon dynasty with 1,317m high. This artifact, one of the largest paintings in Korea was made in 1749 and regarded as a National treasure. 

Gwaebul, Korean word for Buddhist scroll painting, is often used as the worshipping symbol in the outdoors rituals.

This paper scroll painting from Gaeamsa pagoda will be displayed at a Buddhist paintings exhibition by the Korea National Museum in Seoul until April 26th, 2015./.
