Currently, the Order has two bishops (Bishop Hoàn Văn Tiệm of Bui Chu diocese and Bishop Nguyễn Văn Đệ of Thai Binh diocese), nearly 80 priests, and over 30 brothers and seminarians.

To follow and emulate the example of St Don Bosco, dignitaries of Vietnam Don Bosco have made practical contribution in social and charitable activities for the youth in the past years.

• Opening of vocational training schools:

Currently there are four vocational training schools run by the order for about 1,000 youth in Vietnam, namely Phuoc Loc and Dong Thuan primary training schools in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Tan Ha secondary training school in Lam Dong province and Ky Anh primary training school in Ha Tinh province. In addition the order has opened many vocational centers and classes in other monasteries. These vocational schools and centers have provided vocational skills and experiences in a wide range of occupations such as: wood, metal, electrical, building, sewing, embroidery,…

• Promoting cultural and sport activities:

Each monastery has dedicated a playground for young people to enjoy cultural activities and sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball. In this playground young people are free to be themselves, contributing to promote creativity and fully develop personality of the young.

• Providing of dormitories for students:

For the poor students in the provinces, the order rented houses for them and provided a monthly living allowance, as well as appointed staff to look after them. In Ho Chi Minh City, there have been 13 dormitories in areas of Le Van Sy, Tan Binh and Ben Cat which are home to more than 300 students. In Lam Dong province, there are 12 rented houses, each with 15-20 students.
