Two- year implementation of model promoting of shamans’ role in public order reviewed in Quang Ninh
The management board of Binh Lieu district authorities in Quang Ninh province held on September a meeting to review the two-year implementation of the model promoting roles of shamans in propagating and maintaining in grassroots public order in eradicating outdated customs.

This is a pilot model selected in Binh Lieu district launched in Luc Hon commune.
Binh Lieu district currently has nearly 300 shamans, in which, Luc Hon commune has 55 shamans.
During the implementation of this model in Luc Hon commune in the last two years, shamans in the commune have played an important role in eliminating out of date customs and practices among ethnic communities, persevering unique cultural values of ethnic groups in the locality, encouraging local people to proactively engage in movements and programs launched by local authorities for socio-economic development, and implementing a civilized lifestyle in marriage, funeral, etc.
On the occasion, the People’s Committee in Binh Lieu presented certificates of commendation to four collective and eight individuals for their outstanding contributions in implementing the model.
