The dispatch signed by Deputy Minister Trịnh Thị Thủy requested the VBS Central Executive Council to motivate monks, nuns and lay Buddhist followers to promote fine traditions of the national culture, Buddhist loving compassion and true values of traditional beliefs and rites, and respect the cultural diversity of local communities.

The MCST also asked the VBS council to guide Buddhists and non-Buddhist people in preventing superstition and burning of votive papers at Buddhist worshipping establishments, contributing to uphold fine customs and preserve traditional values of the national culture.
