Government Committee for Religious Affairs extends Christmas greetings to Hanoi Archdiocese

On December 23, 2013, a delegation from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs led by Mr. Phạm Dũng, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Chairman of the Committee, visited and extended Christmas greetings to Catholic dignitaries and followers at the Archdiocese of Hanoi. Joining the delegation was also Mr. Dương Ngọc Tấn, Vice Chairman of the Committee.

On behalf of the Committee, Mr. Phạm Dũng wished Archbishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn, dignitaries and parishioners a merry, happy Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous New Year 2014. He said that over the past years, the Catholics have actively participated in social activities and abided by the law. He expressed his wish that the Archbishop upon his virtue will guide followers to make more contributions to the great all - nation unity block.

             Archbishop Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn thanked the Government Committee for Religious Affairs for its care for the parishioners’ religious activities over the past time and affirmed that he will make more efforts to help followers have a good secular and religious life and join the local authorities in building the strong and prosperous country./.
