On December 20, 2013, a delegation from Government Committee for Religious Affairs led by Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice Chairman of the Committee, visited and extended greetings to Protestant dignitaries and followers at the General Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) on the occasion of Christmas 2013.
On behalf of the committee’s leaders, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà wished the Chief Pastor, pastors and Protestants in the church a merry and happy Christmas. He said he is pleased with the church’s successful organization of its 34th General Assembly and consolidation of its apparatus. He also praised the church for its practical contributions to social and charitable activities and patriotic emulation movements, and highly applauded Protestants for abiding by the guidelines and policies of the Party and the law of the State.
Pastor Nguyễn Hữu Mạc, Head of the General Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North), thanked the Government Committee for Religious Affairs for its care and assistance over the past time. He expressed his hope that in 2014, the Committee will continue paying due attention to and creating favorable conditions for Protestants to practice their beliefs./.
