On August 28, 2013, at the headquarter of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice Chairman of the Committee, received a delegation of pastors from the Republic of Korea’s Seomun Church headed by pastor Han Jin Hwan. Attending the reception were also leaders and officials from the Departments of International Cooperation and Protestant Affairs and the Office of the Committee.
At the event, pastor Han Jin Hwan thanked the Government Committee for Religious Affairs for its warm welcome. He said during this visit, his delegation would visit some churches in the northern provinces of Lang Son, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh. He also said the visit aims to help the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Northern) build infrastructure and training facilities at the Hanoi Biblical and Theological Institute, and build houses of worship for some Churches in accordance with the law of Vietnam.
On behalf of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Hà welcomed the delegation’s visit to Vietnam. He also thanked the delegation for its assistance given to the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Northern), particularly in helping develop infrastructure and teaching facilities at the Hanoi Biblical and Theological Institute. He expressed his hope that the both sides will have more opportunities to meet and boost cooperation in the future.
