Welcoming the home affairs minister’s visit at An Dien (Grace) Church located in Nguyen Van Troi Street in the city’s Phu Nhuan District were Pastor President of the Baptist Church Lê Quốc Huy and members of the Church’s executive committee.
At the visiting reception, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng extended warm celebrations of Christmas and best wishes to the pastor president and all members of the general Baptist church.
The official highlighted the Baptist church’s social charities and supports extended to the Covid-19 prevention and control work this year, and spokely highly of the leading role of Pastor President Lê Quốc Huy and his efforts in guiding religious and social affairs of the Baptist church.
The deputy minister also expressed hope for further contributions in social charities, the continuous promotion of fine traditions of the Baptist church and the successful hosting of the next national congress of the church.
Pastor President Lê Quốc Huy took the chance to thank the MOHA and GCRA’s leadership for due attention and supported extended affairs of General Baptist Church over the past years, and spoke highly of the home affairs official’s prompt and correct guidance for religious affairs in the context of the Covid-19 outbreak, practically contributing to protect both the people’s health and the right to freedom of belief and religion.
On the same day, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng visited and extended Christmas greetings to Priest Ignatius Hồ Văn Xuân, Vicar General of Ho Chi Minh City Archdiocese.
