Attending the visiting reception included Minister of the Home Affairs Lê Vĩnh Tân, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyễn Trọng Thừa, Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng, representatives of concerning central agencies, GCRA’s former leaders, and all officials and staff currently working in the government religious committee.
During the large reception, Dr. Vũ Chiến Thắng, Chairman of the government religious committee, briefed results of the state governance on religion’s performance in 2019 and the religious life in the country prior and during the lunar New Year 2020.
In his speech, the government religious committee leader affirmed that religious practices in the country over the past year have been conducted in accordance with state laws, and religions have upheld fine values and promoted resources, practically contributing to national construction and defense.

Addressing at the visiting reception, Deputy Prime Minister Trương Hòa Bình spoke highly of achievements of the government religious committee and the whole governance on religion sector in 2019, and said these results have practically contributed to social, economic and cultural developments in the country.
Regarding key tasks set for the state administration on religion 2020, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the communication work on the Party’s undertakings and policies and State’s laws on belief and religion, and the full grasping of Hồ Chí Minh's thought on the policy for great national unity and the unity between religious people and non-religious people. He also requested the Ministry of Home Affairs to early submit a recommendation for restructuring the government sector on religion for enhancing the working efficiency, given ongoing changes taking place in the country.
On occasion of the traditional New Year, Deputy Prime Minister Trương Hòa Bình extended wishes of happiness and success to the GCRA’s officials and employees.
