Joining the reception included Director of the Department of Protestant Affairs under the government religious committee Thiều Thị Hương.
Speaking at the reception, Pastor Tae Won Soo thanked the GCRA for its support extended to religious practices of Korean Protestants living and working in Hanoi over the past years. He also extended greetings to all GCRA’s leaders and staff on occasion of its founding anniversary.
While appreciating the congratulatory visit by the delegation of Korean Protestants, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà spoke highly of educational and charitable contributions by the Korean Protestant congregation in Hanoi. Dr. Bùi Thanh Hà also expressed hope that Pastor Tae Won Soo and Korean Protestants in Hanoi would serve as a bridge for promoting friendship between Vietnam and the South Korea.

According to Pastor Tae Won Soo, the Korean Protestant community in Hanoi started group religious practices in 1994 at the office of Hanoi Protestant Church addressed No 2, Ngo Tram Str., thanks to the Vietnam Protestant Church (North).
Currently, 1,500 members of the congregation have been able to hold group activities at a separate venue registered with the municipal authorities of Hanoi located in Xuan Dinh Ward, Bac Tu Liem District.
