On August 28, 2013, at the headquarter of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice Chairman of the Committee, received a delegation of pastors from the Republic of Korea’s Seomun Church headed by pastor Han Jin Hwan. Attending the reception were also leaders and officials from the Departments of International Cooperation and Protestant Affairs and the Office of the Committee.

On the occasion of the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, on August 13, 2013, Mr. Dương Ngọc Tấn, Vice - Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, visited the Representative Board of the Islamic Community in the southern province of Tay Ninh. Joining the delegation was Mr. Võ Thành Công, Deputy Head of the Board for Religious Affairs under the provincial Department of Home Affairs. The Representative Board welcomed the delegation at its office (Nguyen Van Tot street, Ward 1, Tay Ninh town)

On the occasion of the Summer Retreat in the Buddhist calendar year of 2557, on August 13-14, 2013, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice - Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, led the delegation to Ráng Pagoda in Hanoi to visit Most Venerable Thích Phổ Tuệ, Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS).

On July 5, 2013, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs held a meeting at Hoang Hiep Hotel, Hung Yen city of Hung Yen province to review religious affairs in northern provinces in the first six months of 2013.

On July 16, 2013, in the central city of Da Nang, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the municipal People’s Committee held a meeting to review religious affairs in Central and Central Highland provinces and cities in the first six months of 2013.

From July 24 to July 26, 2013, President Truong Tan Sang and a high-ranking delegation from the Vietnamese State paid an official visit to the United States at the invitation of President Barack Obama.

On August 28, 2013, at the headquarter of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Pham Dzung, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the Committee, had a working session with Congressmen Jason Chaffetz, Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security under the US House of Representatives’ Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

On October 9, 2013, Mr. Pham Dzung, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs received representatives of the Church of Latter-Day Saints (LDS or Mormon Church) led by Mr. Hoàng Văn Tùng.

In the afternoon of July 16th 2013, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid a working visit to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs. Attending the event were representatives of ministries and departments: Government Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Public Security, Finance and Government Committee for Religious Affairs.
