VBS Chapter in Nghe An holds requiem for heroic martyrs
Performing requiem ritual

A solemn requiem for heroic martyrs and experts who sacrificed their life in Laos held on May 14 at Nghi Loc district’s martyr’s cemetery in Nghe An province.

The requiem co-organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in the province and Nghi Loc district authorities was attended by Senior Venerable Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS chapter’s executive committee Thích Thọ Lạc, a Lao delegation, representatives from local authorities, a large numbers of veterans, relatives of fallen soldiers, monks, nuns and Buddhists.

The requiem aimed to honor all those who sacrificed their life and contributed merits to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

During the event, delegates performed Buddhist rituals including incense offering, candlelight vigil, and prayers for spiritual uplifting of fallen soldiers.
