700 valuable relics have been found in Hanoi city, according to a survey project conducted by Hanoi city’s Department of Culture and Sports.

According to Director of the Hanoi city’s Department of Culture and Sports Tô Văn Động, these relics have for a long time of existence. Based on the project’s result, the city will make recommendation for classification of these relics, depending on values of the relics, in the coming time,

The project also found 317,000 artifacts in all of relics, with many of them having cultural and historical values, or recognized as national treasures.

Hanoi city’s Department of Culture and Sports started the project for relic inspection and classification in July, 2013 and completed this project in December, 2015, with participation of experts from the Institute for Conservation of Relics and University of Culture, and concerning administrative authorities.
