According to Ms. Nguyễn Thị Liễu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, the recognition of these ordinations as 'precious and rare archives' is intended to facilitate the management and protection of these heritages by the city. Preservation awareness of worshiping establishments and lineages who possess the ordinations will be enhanced, according to Liễu.
Previously, in 2018 and 2019, the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs recognized a total of 2,365 ordinations from 195 worshiping establishments as ‘precious and rare archives’ of the city in four phases. (In the 1st phase, 211 ordinations were recognized, 766 ordinations in the second phase, 554 in the third phase, and 834 in the fourth).
