VBS’s chapter in Quang Binh province’s Quang Ninh district sends supplies to locals in An Ninh commune

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council issued a notification on October 14 for gathering relief supplies to flood-hit people in Central provinces.

The message calls on the VBS’s central Social Charities Committee, Social Charities Boards of the VBS’s chapters in provinces and cities to mobilize monks, nuns, Buddhists, and sponsors to contribute money, goods and necessities to support people in flood areas.

The relief supplies can be sent by relief delegations to flood areas, or through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Fatherland Front Committees in central provinces and cities.

The notification aimed to practically share difficulties and losses incurred by people in the central provinces as results of storms No. 6 and 7, contributing to promote the national tradition of mutual assistance and compassionate spirit of Buddhism.
