The two-day event saw the presence of 400 delegates representing 30 parishes under Cau Kho Tam Quan Caodai sect in the country.
Guests at the congress included Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Thị Minh Nga, Director of the GCRA’s Caodai Affairs Department Đinh Quang Tiến, and representatives from other religious organizations in Binh Dinh, the exchange alliance of Caodai sects and local authorities of Binh Dinh and other localities home to parishes of the Cau Kho Tam Quan Caodai church.
The congress reviewed affairs of the Caodai Church in the 4th tenure (2015-2020). As reported, the Cau Kho Tam Quan Caodai has spent over 12 billion VND on construction and upgrade of worshiping oratories, and made contributions valued at over 5 billion VND for supporting the disadvantaged and victims of natural calamities in localities in the last five years.
The event also approved the revised Charter of the Caodai sect which contains 122 articles arranged in 12 chapters, and elected 19 members to the central executive body of the two Palace for the fifth term (2020-2025) headed by Archbishop La Văn Soi.

Addressing the national congress of the Caodai sect, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga spoke highly of practical contributions for socio-economic development by members of Cau Kho Tam Quan Caodai Church in the country. She also expressed hope that, under the new leadership board for the next five years, the Caodai church would further promote its fine traditions for fulfilling its sacred mission and closely accompanying with the nation.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Binh Dinh province presented a certificate of recommendation to Archbishop La Văn Soi for his outstanding contributions to emulation movements launched by the VFF in Binh Dinh in 2020.
