The Ministry of Home Affairs held on December 27 a national online conference in Hanoi.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Trương Hòa Bình, Minister of the Home Affairs Lê Vĩnh Tân and Deputy Ministers, Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng, representatives of concerning central agencies, and the sector of home affairs in 63 provinces and cities over the country..

During the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyễn Trọng Thừa delivered the general report reviewing the home affairs sector’s performance 2019 and mapping out its plans of activities for 2020 in the country.

Dr. Vũ Chiến Thắng, Chairman of the government religious committee, outlined key tasks in the state management on belief and religion across the country for 2020, as well as raised recommendations to the Government.

Addressing at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Trương Hòa Bình spoke highly of achievements of the whole home affairs sector in 2019.

Regarding religion, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the supervision of the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion across the country and the grasping of Hồ Chí Minh's thought on the policy for great national unity and the unity between religious people and non-religious people.

He also asked the sector of home affairs to strengthen dialogue with religious leaders and resolutely fight against abuse of religion and superstitions, causing social disorder and public security in several localities.
