The construction of Ngang, Ba Xa Nam, Xa Tu and T3 bridges, all crossing Xang Thot Not River, has taken 13 months for completion. The total investment of the bridge construction is 2.3 billion VND, of which local Hoa Hao Buddhist followers contributed over two VND billion, the rest supported by the local state authorities.
Each of the steel-structured, concrete bridges has four meters wide, and all have the total length of 120 meters
Sharing his joy at the inauguration ceremony, Nguyễn Quang Dinh, a local living in Thanh Phu’s Phuoc Trung village informed that the local roads had been difficult and time-consuming for locals for years, so “when the bridges have been ready for convenient use, local people are very happy”.
Speaking at the event, Rev. Nguyễn Tấn Đạt, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhist church shared that building local roads and bridges that help locals travel and transport goods in more convenient and time-saving ways has been regarded as a duty of Hoa Hao Buddhist followers.
