On April, 28, 2014, at the headquarters of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA), Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice – Chairman of the GCRA received a delegation of Seventh-day Adventist Church of Vietnam and the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Church. May Day brings Christians and Muslims into the streets for workers' rights

On April 30, activists, both Christian and Muslim, staged at a rally in front of the Faisalabad Press Club on Wednesday, on the eve of International Workers' Day. Their goal was to push the government to calculate the real cost of living in Pakistan and ensure that workers get a "living wage rather than a minimum wage" so they can lead "a life of dignity," free from debts, bondage and violence. To do this, they want the government to ratify the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions for the protection of domestic workers (ILO C -177) and extend social and legal protection coverage to workers engaged in informal sector.

UN Day of Vesak – a UN religious cultural festival

Press meeting on the upcoming United Nations Day of Vesak 2014 in Vietnam

On April, 28, 2014, at Quan Su pagoda, Ha Noi city, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha held the press meeting on the United Nations Day of Vesak 2014 (UNDV 2014) in Vietnam. The meeting was chaired by Most Ven. Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Chairman of ICDV and UNDV2014 International Organizing Committee.

On April 23, 2014, Deputy Minister for Culture, Sports and Tourism Vương Duy Biên chaired a meeting for the upcoming UN Day of Vesak 2014 with representatives from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), Ninh Binh department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and departments under the Ministry including the National Administration of Tourism, Performing Arts Department, and Cinematography Department.

Dong Nai: Deputies will meet constituencies for discussion on state religious affairs

On April 24, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai  provincial People’ Council coordinated with the provincial Fatherland Front Committee in organizing a meeting to finalize a plan for deputies to meet constituencies for discussion on state religious affairs, scheduled in middle of May 2014.

Thai Binh: Ceremony held to inaugurate its Holy Temple
