The event was chaired by Deputy Secretary of Hai Phong city Party’s Committee Đỗ Mạnh Hiến, and attended by representatives from concerning department and agencies in the city.
For the past year, due to affect of the Covid-19 pandemic, belief and religious establishments in the city have strictly observed preventive measures against the pandemic. Local religious dignitaries and deacons have encouraged followers to actively join in social movements for the socio-economic development in the city. The city authorities have paid due attention to disseminate legal documents related to the state management on belief and religion.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary Đỗ Mạnh Hiến requested the steering committee to closely work with concerning agencies in implementing religious and ethnic affairs and timely solve practical issues related to religion in the city.
