On March 20-21, authorities of Bu Gia Map district in Binh Phuoc province in collaboration with the district Military Steering Committee and competent forces implemented disinfection at religious places in the district.
Local authorities have also guided religious places to undertake preventive measures in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Health and relevant agencies, and the commune-level authorities had earlier informed schedules for spraying disinfectants at worshipping places.
The district office on ethnic and religious affairs in collaboration with the commune-level authorities has also enhanced the communication work on the preventive measures against the virus amongst religious communities. Local authorities also asked religious places not to hold large gatherings and strictly implemented advisories of competent authorities.
Bu Gia Map district currently has over 30 religious worshipping places belonging to three religions of Catholicism, Buddhism, and Protestantism.
