Together with all women in the province, women in religious concentrated areas have proactively participated in the social movements launched by the local authorities, contributing to the socio-economic in the locality.
The women association in Thach Trung commune established a club for building a happy family and living “good life and good religion” in June 2012 with the participation of 100 members. The club has developed monthly and quarterly plans of activities including the organization of seminars for building happy families, meetings updating information on cultivation and animals, support loans, poverty reduction, etc. The club currently has over 200 members actively engaging campaigns promoting civilized lifestyles in the family and boosting rural development.
The club “building new-model countryside – happy family” has been established in Thuan Chau village, Ky Chau commune, Ky Anh district. The club has become a place for local couples to meet and share experiences on keeping happy families and promoting family businesses. The club attracts nearly 50 couples of different ages.
Given encouraging results of two pilot club models, up to now, the provincial Women Union established nearly 40 clubs to attract religious women members. These clubs have practically helped religious women to improve their life and promote their role in their families and communities.
