The event drew representative leaders of the commission on mass mobilization, the commission on communication and education, the fatherland front committee, the home affairs department, the public security department, the military command and district-level home affairs offices in the city.
Catholic dignitaries at the meeting included Bishop Joseph Đặng Đức Ngân of Da Nang Diocese, the diocese’s vicar general and the priest in charge of the diocese’s office, priests in charge of deaneries and parishes under the diocese, and nuns in charge of St Paul de Chartres congregations
The event also drew the participation of Pastor General Secretary of the Vietnam Christian Mission Church Đỗ Hoàng Phong, Pastor Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Christian Adventist Church Trần Thanh Truyện, Pastor Chairman of the Vietnam Evangelical Church (South)’s representative committee in Da Nang Nguyễn Hải Bằng, and heads of chapters and congregation of the Protestant churches in the city.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the municipal religious affairs committee Ngô Khôi spoke highly of important contributions to social development in Da Nang by Christian followers and organizations in the city. He also extended happy Christmas celebrations to all Christian dignitaries and believers in the locality.
