About 50 local children have participated in the painting program themed “The Buddha As I Understand” with two painting parts of colouring models and painting new ones.
According to Ven. Thích Thi Vinh, this first event of the Buddha painting contest taking place on occasion of the Buddha Birthday created an opportunity for children to learn about the Lord Buddha - Founder of Buddhism.
Participating children were presented with gifts after completing paintings and the final result of the painting contest will be announced on the 15th of the fourth lunar month at a ceremony held in Buu Da pagoda.
