Het Cha festival of Thai ethnic people in Dong Sang commune of Son La province’s Moc Chau district annually held in spring has been recognized as national intangible cultural heritage since 2016.

The festival is an opportunity for Thai ethnic people to give thanks to heaven and earth, deities and parents, and pray for favorable weather, bumper crops, and peaceful and prosperous life, expressing the spirit of community cohesion of Thai people.
