VBS starts construction work for Vietnamese monastery in Germany

The ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of Chan Tinh Taucha monastery was solemnly held by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on October 22 in Germany’s Taucha city.

Attending the ceremony included Senior Venerable General  Secretary of VBS Thích Đức Thiện, Director of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs’s Department of Buddhist Affairs Bùi Hữu Dược, representatives from the Consulate General of Vietnam in Frankfurt, Mayor of Taucha City Tobias Meyer and a large number of overseas Vietnamese Buddhists.

Chan Tinh Taucha monastery, planned to be built on an area of 4.000m2, once completed will serve as a center of Vietnamese Buddhist culture in Germany.
