Khanh An pagoda located in the northeastern province of Udon Thani was built in 1964 and has been recorgnized by the Kingdom of Thailand. Along with many other pagodas, Khanh An pagoda is a place to conduct Buddhist services for Vietnamese Buddhists in Thailand.
On the occasion, NA Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân also visited Vietnamese language teaching classes at the pagoda. The first Vietnamese language teaching class opened in 2017 with the participation of 28 people. The pagoda currently runs five Vietnam language teaching classes a week with over 100 children of overseas Vietnamese and Thais.
Meeting with teachers and pupils of the Vietnamese language teaching classes, Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân praised the efforts of Vietnamese teachers and overseas in Thailand and affirmed that these activities would actively preserve Vietnamese langue as well as meet cultural, spiritual needs of Vietnamese communities, especially young generation.
