Vietnamese Buddhists in Czech Republic pray for peace
At the ceremony

Thuong Nguyen ceremony, an important Buddhist practice annually held on the first 15th of the lunar year to pray for peace, took place at Sapa trade center in Prague on February 24.

Attending the ceremony was Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council Most Venerable Thích Thiện Bảo, Counselor of Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary Trần Thanh Hương, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Europe Hoàng Đình Thắng, Chaiman of the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic Nguyễn Duy Nhiên, and representatives from Buddhist followers’ associations in the Czech Republic.

During the event, 300 overseas Vietnamese offered incense, practiced Buddhist chanting, listened to Buddhist preaching, and prayed for peace and happiness.
