All pagodas and temples to ring bells and beat drums at 6 pm on August 20 to raise public awareness of COVID

Mr. Chhit Sokhon, Minister of Cults and Religion has instructed all pagodas and temples of all religions to beat drums and ring bells in unison at 6 pm on August 20

The aim of the exercise is to increase and maintain public awareness and vigilance of COVID-18

Previously, PM Hun Sen had instructed pagodas to beat drums and ring bells at 5 am, 11 am, 2 pm, 5 pm and 8 pm for 5 days in March 2021.

The Ministry of Cults and Religions also instructed all pagodas and temples of all religions to follow the instructions of the Ministry of Health, especially to adhere to the “3 do’s and 3 don’ts” of Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia.
