In September annually, when the Cong ethnic people complete their crops, they celebrate Tet hoa mao ga (Cockscomb flower Tet festival). This year, Tet hoa mao ga takes place on November 23 and November 24, Vietnam News Agency reported.

Tet hoa mao ga features a series of rituals and ceremonies which help to strengthen the solidarity and connectivity within the community. Tet Hoa mao ga was recognized as one of the eight national intangible cultural heritages of Dien Bien province.
